Italy
Im back from a great trip.
Having the chance ot further study Marina and Corrado's group was a wonderful opporunity - first of all for me to see different methods in directing. they create such great visuals and pieces. amazing. and they work in specific way. for me specific, for me different. i appreciated the opportunity to see and be part of a procedure, and I appreciated the fact that by throught this I could realize and clarify moments of my own process. I would have done things differently many times, and I was looking with curiosity of how they solve certian situations.
we were talking a lot about theater, life, opportunities, politics. everything. it was sucha refreshing experience. they were intersted in what i thought about their work. i was basically tested one day :).and we're going to work together later on. i'm gonna take part in their production with the integrated group in April..and given the distance and taht im only gonna be back for the last ten days, Im given a lot of relative freedom in how to approach the material. its gonna be intersting. and i truly hope its coming together.
they were nicest people also. i was kepotbusy in a good way every day....workshops in teh evenings, sightseeing programs in the morning, or just talking and talking and talking. Imola (Formula Uno), Bologna, Firenze (Florence).
and was fed every day: gosh, all that Italian food!! the pasta, the sweets..I really cant eat anything in the next couple of days....:)
as far az theater experiences, or gainning experiences go, I didn't take that much with me. and at the same time I did....adn it was yet again a reassurance! for me.
